Tuomas started his music career playing KORG N364 synthesizer. Small, compact but has rather deep sound. N364 is musical instrument is only as good as its sounds; and them more the merrier. The N364s are absolutely brimming with 936 programs and combos based on 8MB of PCM ROM featuring 430 Multisounds and 215 drum sounds. And the N-Series sounds rely on Korg's renowned AI2 Synthesis System, the same system that's found in the 01/W and X-Series Music Workstations.

It’s very difficult to say when Tuomas bought his next synthesizer - KORG Trinity – optional and a very popular one. The Trinity provides a gigantic 24 Mbyte PCM ROM, which contains 375 different PCM multisamples and 258 drum samples, recorded at a high-quality 48 kHz sampling rate. It provides PCM sounds that were recorded by the best artists on the best instruments under ideal conditions. The multi-mode filter section provides high pass, low pass, band pass, and band reject filters, plus resonance, allowing highly flexible filtering. The effect section features up to 8 simultaneous insert effects and 2 master effects. Now about the stands Tuomas was using on his concerts. During 1998-2002 Tuomas used ULTIMATE keyboard stands. But since Once World Tour Tuomas played Konig&Mayer SPIDER.
